Recently, something caught my attention: even the mainstream science recognizes that dogs, cats, and other animals are able to see frequencies that humans are not able.
I read about it a lot and scientifically it makes sense in a separate way from spiritually. Simply, the science explains that cats and dogs can see the UV light and a few other rays that the human retinas cannot see.
Previously it was believed that all mammals have similar eyes to people, incapable of seeing the UV rays, but scientific evidence suggests that there are numerous mammals are actually capable to do that.
A study that has been conducted a few years ago by biologists at City University in London, provided proof for this differential in the sight between species.
As Pet MD stated:
“Have you ever felt that your dog or cat is able to see something that you just cannot? Well, you may be right, as a new study has proved. Cats, dogs, and the other mammals are being thought to see in UV light, which opens up an entire different world than the one that we are able to see, explains the study.
UV light is the wave length beyond the visible light from red to violet that people are able to see. Humans have a lens which is blocking the blocks UV from reaching the retina. Previously it was thought that most mammals have lenses that are similar to the humans’.
Scientists have studied the lenses of the dead mammals, such as pandas, monkeys, cats, dogs, hedgehogs, and ferrets. By doing researches about how much light passes through the lens in order to reach the retina, they concluded that there are some mammals that were previously thought not to be able to see UV that actually can.”
Nevertheless, I believe that there is something more to this phenomena which delves into the metaphysical realm.
Together with my sister, we have had experiences where the cats see things that are not there. They bat at the air with their meow, paws, hiss, and make some strange noises at things that we are not able to see.
The strangest thing happened right after my grandfather passed. Our cat that Double Stuff was batting at the air, meowing very strangely, and chasing something all over the room, looking at this thing on the ceiling and trying to jump at it in the air.
It was as if some spirit or entity was floating around on the ceiling and the cat is the only one that could see it.
In my room there was no different UV light when my cat did this: so why would the cat just at that time try to chase something invisible?
After several weeks, my sister experienced seeing “shadow people,” which is a phenomena commonly reported by those who suffer from sleep paralysis.
As she saw these shadow objects around the house at night (assuming that it wasn’t some illusion), the cat started acting scared and strange. It hissed, meowed, did the same things it did before but in a scared way, not interested and bewildered.
